been endorsed by the Northwest Synod of Wisconsin as a
congregation-based ministry of prayer, education, relationship-building
and action to implement the ELCA Message on Commercial Sexual
Exploitation.

youth from becoming captives through education and prevention

social agencies that work with youth who are run-aways,
homeless, or exploited

Upcoming Workshops:
The Synod Task Force for Cherish Our Children has established a training
site and date for each conference in our synod. Please choose one
nearest to you and invite your congregations to send your own task force
of people to learn how to implement Cherish Our Children within your
congregation.
The trainings run from 9-12 a.m. and will give you an overview of
Cherish Our Children and its purpose, an overview of the manual (which
includes specific but flexible instructions for getting started) and a
prayer training. Please call the synod office to register for these
training sessions.

To gather the community for prayer, worship, sharing and learning
to forward the mission of Cherish Our Children
When:
October 16-19, 2008. Beginning
on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. with snacks, instructions and devotional time
at 7:30 p.m. The gathering
will officially end on Sunday at 12:00 noon.
Where:
Luther Seminary, St. Paul, MN, Stub Hall
Cost:
Early Bird Registration (due by Sept. 1):
$100 per person
Early Bird Group Fee: $300
for up to 5 people
Registration after Sept. 1: $125

Price includes 2 lunches and 2 breakfasts, Saturday evening banquet,
